Batman: Arkham Origins’ Multiplayer Is Shutting Down

Batman: Arkham Origins’ Multiplayer Is Shutting Down

Did you know Batman: Arkham Origins had an online mode? I had no idea. But apparently, it was possible to go online in a 3v3v2 match. Two people would be Batman and Robin, three people would be Joker’s cronies, and three would be Bane’s underlings. The superheroes are trying to stop the bad guys, while the bad guys are trying to take territory. Better try it soon if that sounds appealing, because it’ll be closed on December 4.

Warner Bros. announced the Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer shutdown this week. After three years of service. it’ll be over across platforms. This doesn’t influence the single player campaign at all, so don’t worry about that.

In a way, it’s nice that Warner Bros. kept Batman: Arkham Origins’ multiplayer online for as long as it did. The game is pretty old and the online element clearly wasn’t ridiculously popular. Considering many have moved on from the PS3 and Xbox 360, it was nice to know it remained relevant for as long as it did.
