Akuma’s Coming to Street Fighter V

Akuma’s Coming to Street Fighter V

Capcom’s already said it hopes to support Street Fighter V until 2020, and it took a step toward making good on that promise at the 2016 PlayStation Experience. It not only revealed Akuma, the game’s next character, but also announced a $30 2017 character patch that guarantees you access to all six characters as they’re released. Buying the pass even gets you a theme!

Don’t start guessing which returning fighters will be following Akuma after he’s added to the cast on December 20. Capcom’s doing something different with this lineup. The other five characters are entirely new characters. Prepare for fresh faces!

Capcom also went over some Street Fighter V 2017 season updates. They want to make characters more distinct. Specifically, they want to make invincible reversal reliance, recovery after successful throws, and strong anti-air light attacks more unique. Seems like there could be a lot of changes, perhaps positive, coming to the game!
