NES Classics Showing Up in Stores Again

NES Classics Showing Up in Stores Again

Did you miss out on a NES Classic when they first debuted? You know, since Nintendo shipped like 100 worldwide and expected that to be enough? Well, it seems like a restock is upon us. Two retailers, Best Buy and ThinkGeek, are getting more of the plug-and-play systems!

The sales are being handled in very different ways. Best Buy is offering up a free-for-all. An email sent too early, and shared via Twitter , said all stores will have them on December 20. A Best Buy representative told Nintendo Everything this was true. Prepare for a scuffle!

Meanwhile, ThinkGeek is having a more orderly lottery. People who add the item to their wish list by December 12 will be entered into a lottery. They’ll randomly select people who’ve added it and email them a unique code and link that will give them 24 hours to buy the NES Classic. If they don’t do so in time, the opportunity goes to someone else. Which is a fantastic idea. Good on ThinkGeek!
