Even with all the data mining that’s been done, Pokemon Sun and Moon still holds some secrets. People have been tearing into the game files and have found something really cool. Within the Nintendo 3DS games’ code is models suggesting that, at one point, Game Freak might have considered letting us take our Pokemon for a walk.
People like KazoWAR and SleepyJirachi have gone into Pokemon Sun and Moon and found all sorts of unused animations and models. There are ones for all Pokemon, showing them walking, running, and even idly standing by. It all suggests a feature like the ones in Pokemon Yellow, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, where someone could designate a favorite Pokemon and have them walk alongside them.
Know what I hope? It’d be nice if this were a scrapped feature that will show up as a Pokemon Sun or Moon Switch installment exclusive. There are already rumors this entry is coming to the console. Maybe there’ll be more ways to interact with our Pokemon if it does?
