Amazon’s Echo May Be a Geth in Disguise

Amazon’s Echo May Be a Geth in Disguise

First, Siri gets all excited about Super Mario Run . Then, two Google Homes started talking about Pokemon . Now, we’ve found out that the Amazon Echo is all about Mass Effect . These digital assistants are turning out to be real gamers! The Echo’s Quarian is pretty good.

Here’s how it goes. First, you ask an Amazon Echo product, “Does this unit have a soul?” This is a reference to one of Mass Effect 3’ s best moments. The Echo will reply, “Keelah se’lai, my friend.” Isn’t that sweet? You can see it in action on Twitter , though Kotanu confirms Echosim.io ’s skill test will give you the same response.

Don’t you love it when companies get clever with their assistants? I’m surprised we’re only hearing about a great Mass Effect reference like this now. With all the technology used in the series, you’d think we’d have had other great EDI or Geth moments before now.
