Three Warriors Series Games Coming to Switch

It’s always fun watching new games be revealed in real time. At the Nintendo Switch conference, the appearance of an Omega Force logo while the Fire Emblem main theme played in the background was a surefire clue that a new Warriors game is on the way.

Fire Emblem Warriors is indeed real, and it seems to be coming exclusively to the Switch. Very little was disclosed other than the title’s existence, but this morning, Nintendo announced that a follow-up Direct presentation focused exclusively on Fire Emblem will be held on January 18 at 2PM PST. We can probably expect to hear more information, including some playable characters and a release window, at that time. In the meantime, you can check out the brief teaser below.

Also announced for Nintendo Switch were ports of Dragon Quest Heroes I & II, bundled together in a single combo pack. It will include all of the DLC from the PlayStation versions, as well as a new character: Ragnar from Dragon Quest IV. Goo-wee! Switch owners will have plenty of options for hacking and slashing this year – here’s hoping an updated port of Hyrule Warriors is on the horizon too.
