Bad news for people who really love Titanfall and want the series in as many places as possible. That isn’t going to be happening. This isn’t bad news regarding Titanfall or Titanfall 2 , though! Rather, it’s regarding the mobile game you may have forgotten, Titanfall Frontline .
See, Respawn Entertainment and Nexon were working on Titanfall Frontline. It was a multiplayer mobile game where people would collect and use cards to take part in turn-based battles. It was inspired by the series lore, and even went into a closed beta. However, it didn’t turn out as planned. The game has been canceled, the closed beta is ending, and servers will shut down on January 20.
I can understand why it happened. Titanfall really isn’t a big enough brand for spin-offs yet. Titanfall Frontline never had the hype it needed to survive. Also, it didn’t really have the flash and details needed to make it stand out in a world where a game like Hearthstone reigns.This is an unfortunate, but very forseeable, ending.
