Fire Emblem Heroes Headed to Phones in February

Fire Emblem Heroes Headed to Phones in February

There were four Fire Emblem games discussed during the Fire Emblem Nintendo Direct yesterday, and one of them is only a few weeks away. On February 2, Android and iOS owners will be able to grab Fire Emblem Heroes . That’s right, Nintendo’s next mobile game is on the way! This one is a strategic RPG where you collect characters and use them to compete in turn-based battles on grid-based maps.

Fire Emblem Heroes plays a lot like the games. The weapon triangle, where lance beats sword, sword beats axe, and axe beats lance, is here. You take a small group of heroes with you into every fight. Permadeath is absent. All characters have new art from various artists and voice acting. A main quest and Training Tower will be available, as will in-game events.

However, some may be disappointed to hear Fire Emblem Heroes will have microtransactions. You’ll use Orbs, which can be earned by playing or bought with real cash, to summon new heroes. Three orbs are $1.99, 10 are $5.99, and so on. When you summon heroes with Orbs, you can choose which color to select, which helps determine if you’ll get sword users, axe users, lance users, archers, healers, ninjas, mages, or characters who shift between people and animals. If you summon more than one hero at a time from the selection of stones presented, you save Orbs.

There’s also a Fire Emblem Heroes Choose Your Legends event running. people can vote for Fire Emblem heroes and heroines they’d like to see appear as event characters. The most popular hero and heroine will each appear in an event. If you have a My Nintendo account, you’ll get 200 Platinum Points for voting.
