Street Fighter Announcements Are Coming

There’s big news about Street Fighter . Big news! Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono, the producer of the series, did an interview with IGN . In it, he addressed the things the company has planned for 2017, since it marks the 30th anniversary of the series. People better pay attention at E3 2017 and the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con, because announcements are coming. His exact quote was, “Around E3 timing, maybe even San Diego Comic-Con, we have one or two surprises we hope our fans will look forward to.”

Ono also had something to say about Ultra Street Fighter II: The New Challengers . That’s the Switch version of the game that adds Evil Ryu and Violent Ken as characters, as well as cooperative play when fighting enemies. It kicks off the cavalcade of Street Fighter 30th anniversary content. While it is an exclusive game for now, he said it could come to other systems if it sells extremely well.

Since this is a surprise, do you think it could be more games? We already know about the Street Fighter V Season 2 characters, so that can’t be it. Is there a remaster you’d like to see on your PlayStation 4 and Xbox One? Maybe we’ll get Super Ultra Street Fighter IV ?
