Dragon Quest Heroes I & II Adds New Features

Dragon Quest Heroes I & II Adds New Features

Dragon Quest Heroes is coming to the Switch. Nintendo’s new handheld is getting a port of both of the Omega Force games where plenty of heroes from multiple entries in the series come together to fight iconic monsters. But, Dragon Quest Heroes I & II isn’t just a port. While it isn’t as visually impressive as the PlayStation 4 or PC versions of the games, it is going to have extra features and things to do.

It’s a nice mix of things you could only experience in Dragon Quest Heroes I & II on the Switch, as well as things you wish would be in the already existing versions. The sequel’s improvements will be applied to the original, not to mention the first game will also be rebalanced and have improved difficulty levels. Dragon Quest IV’ s Ragnar McRyan will join Dragon Quest Heroes II as a playable character, and you’ll also be able to fight Dragon Quest II’ s Malroth. As for exclusivity, both games will have HD Rumble support. When you fight an enemy, the rumble you feel will vary based on the nature of the opponent. Hitting a golem will feel like hitting a rock, as an example.

This seems like a good reason to get people to buy Dragon Quest Heroes again. Well, that and having both games at once. You can’t beat a bargain like that. Plus, with both games getting worldwide releases, odds are we’ll see Dragon Quest Heroes I & II outside Japan eventually too.
