The Banner Saga 3 Takes the Kickstarter Road

The Banner Saga 3 Takes the Kickstarter Road

The two existing entries in Stoic’s tactical role-playing series, The Banner Saga , hav received critical acclaim for their sharp writing and pulse-pounding combat. The series remains incomplete, but that’s set to change with the announcement of a Kickstarter campaign for The Banner Saga 3.

The final entry in the trilogy closes out the story with a bang. The world is warped, the Darkness is taking hold, and your warriors – while powerful as ever – are still not beyond death’s grasp. Developer Stoic returns to Kickstarter to fund this venture after a successful campaign that raised over $700,000 to develop the first two games. With heavy-hitters like composer Austin Wintory on board, it’s no wonder the team needs help staying on budget.

If you aren’t caught up on The Banner Saga , never fear: Adding $20 to any pledge on the Kickstarter will earn you copies of the first two The Banner Saga games on PC. This is cheaper than buying them individually, as they both currently run $20 apiece on platforms like GOG. The Banner Saga 3 ‘s Kickstarter has already raised $117,000 as of this writing towards its $200,000 goal. It’s due out in December 2018 for PC; support for other platforms has not been announced.
