Did you know that Final Fantasy turns 30 this year? Incidentally, so do I, though my birthday plans are far less ambitious than Square Enix's. The company kicked off a year-long celebration late last night with a variety of Final Fantasy announcements, including some details on the upcoming DLC for Final Fantasy XV.
First was the news that the next set of items, called the Booster Pack, will release in both free and premium flavors on February 21. It will include items like the Magitek Exosuit, which is supposedly "invincible," though it's hard to tell if that's simply a turn of phrase. After that, Episode Gladio will release on March 28, revealing what the beefy bodyguard was up to during his disappearance from the main storyline.
Finally, Episode Prompto is slated for launch in June, with Episode Ignis to come sometime afterwards. All of this DLC is included in the Season Pass for $25, or if you so choose, you can purchase them separately on the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace. Final Fantasy XV is also scheduled to receive free updates to its story and controversial 13th chapter later this year.
