Have you been hoping for some sort of Castlevania fix? Well, it’s coming. But, it probably isn’t arriving in the form you expected. It turns out Netflix is going to air a series inspired by the video games. Season 1, Part 1 of Castlevania will arrive on the streaming service in 2017.
While Netflix didn’t offer any more details, we do know some additional information about the show. Adi Shankar, the producer of The Grey, Killing them Softly, Dredd, Judge Dredd: Superfiend, and the 2015 Power Rangers short, will be producing it. Fred Seibert, of the Frederator Networks cartoon company, Kevin Kolde, and Warren Ellis are also involved. Since Netflix has already said this will be released in parts and Frederator Networks is involved, it seems like we’re looking at an animated series.
A dark animated series, by the way. Which works for Castlevania . I mean, the games have always been rather gritty. Here’s hoping it follows one of the Belmonts!
