Did you want to play South Park: Fractured But Whole in the next month or two? Well, that isn’t going to happen. The game has been delayed again. Ubisoft says the game will now release sometime between April 2017 and March 2018, as it has been pushed into the next fiscal year. No explanation was offered for this postponement.
This is the second such delay for South Park: Fractured But Whole. It was originally supposed to be released on December 6, 2016. That didn’t happen, and it was pushed back to the first quarter of 2017. Of course, now we know that isn’t happening either. But, at least with that last delay we know it was pushed back to allow more time to make the game stronger.
Delays suck. We all know this. But, South Park: Fractured But Whole has the potential to be an amazing game. I’ve seen how it looked. This is a case where we should go ahead and accept that sometimes, a game needs a little extra time to reach a level of true greatness.
