Yesterday, we learned Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference date. It’s moving to Sunday, June 11, 2017 this year. That’s not the only E3 news from the team, though. Today, Xbox marketing manager Aaron Greenberg tweeted, “Since many fans have asked, yes... we are planning #XboxFanFest @E3 this year. More details to come soon!”
Much like the Press Conference announcement, we’re left with few details as to what to expect from Xbox FanFest at E3 this year. However, we can look at what happened last year. At E3 2016, 500 fans were allowed into the Xbox E3 Briefing, were invited to a special Forza Motorsport event, got to attend a special “Fan Celebration,” and of course they received a backpack full of gaming swag.
Considering E3 2017 has opened their doors to the general public, it would probably be safe to say more people may be allowed into this year’s Xbox FanFest. It’s too soon to say for certain however, so we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
