Despite Nintendo’s best efforts to keep us all in the dark about how the Switch even operates, right up to almost two weeks before the thing is scheduled to come out, the inevitable happened. A retailer made a mistake, and a normal citizen now has a Nintendo Switch before just about anyone else. There’s no NDA to worry about, so of course this person had no problem showing the world what Nintendo confusingly hasn’t yet.
It’s important to note that no games have been released, so the proud Switch owner can’t do much with the device. They also obviously won’t try to go online, out of fear of being punished for someone else’s mistake. Because that’s how videogame corporations roll. They did however, show off the system itself and the UI/system options, which is, once more for everyone in the back, somehow still not officially available on the cusp of this thing’s launch.
