Blizzard Teasing a New Overwatch Heroine

Blizzard Teasing a New Overwatch Heroine

Overwatch is never not in headlines, especially when the fans get wind of something smelling a little like “new character.” The official Overwatch blog was recently updated with an in-universe interview with Efi Oladele, who seems to be a child prodigy and front-runner for the game’s next playable character.

In the brief interview, Oladele is introduced as an important fixture in the Numbani region, which in Overwatch is the global center of science and technology. She’s touted as having a “resume of impressive achievements in robotics and technology,” and is the recipient of the “Adawe Foundation’s prestigious genius grant.” She also happens to be 11 years-old.

After some more background information, the interviewer asks Oladele what she plans to do with her grant, and the true teasing begins. “Oh… I have an idea… It’s a secret for now… but my parents are taking me on a trip to celebrate! It’ll be my first time flying, so I can’t wait.”

Sounds like the perfect segue to add someone new to the Overwatch roster.
