Who’s still playing Pokemon Go ? You? You? How about you? Of course you’re all still playing Pokemon Go in some capacity! I’m not, since my phone is literally too old to play Pokemon Go . Samsung Galaxy S3, you fail me! For those who are keeping up, you can catch more water-types and collect more Evolution items now!
For those fortunate enough to be playing the mobile game phenomenon that is Pokemon Go , there’s a new Water Festival event starting today and running until Wednesday March 29. The aptly named event will give players a better chance of finding water-type Pokemon like Squirtle, Totodile, Lapras, and Magikarp. You’ll also be able to find their evolutions. Just go to your favorite water Pokemon haunts and get to hunting.
Not only do you have a better chance of finding Magikarp to add to your team, you’ll also get to add it to your wardrobe. Logging in during the Water Festival will get you a Magikarp hat. Hooray!
This isn’t the only update to the game, though. Brand new to Pokemon Go is also the ability to more easily acquire evolution items. As of March 21, players can get an evolution item at the end of an unbroken week of visits to the same PokeStop. Since Sprint stores and Starbucks all have PokeStops now, maybe check in for seven days and get your item! (And possibly some cavities?)
Get out there and catch some water Pokemon and snatch up those evolution items friends! Do it for the fans like me who have to sit by on the sidelines and revel at your shenanigans. Do it for the Pokemon!
