Street Fighter V Online Free to Play This Week

Street Fighter V Online Free to Play This Week

Street Fighter V released back in February of 2016, but now, over a year later, Capcom is making some changes to the popular fighting game. Before they make those changes final however, they want our help. The matchmaking system that Street Fighter V uses is dubbed the “Capcom Fighters Network.” It’s had some issues since inception, and Capcom realizes this, which means its time for a fix. It’s pulling in everyone with a PC capable of running the game to help test out the Capcom Fighters Network and fix matchmaking.

Between March 28 and April 3, Street Fighter V will be available for free on Steam. Additionally, all characters currently available will be unlocked for you to use online matches to help Capcom with its matchmaking system test. When participating in this test, you can log in with your old Capcom Fighters Network username, but it won’t have any affect on your ranking progress after the free period. So if you haven’t played Street Fighter V yet, and aren’t doing anything in the upcoming week, give it a look-see on Steam.
