The new spin-off from the Valkyria Chronicles series, Valkyria Revolution , finally has a release date. It’s more of an action game than its turn-based predecessors, although the strategic elements are still in place to some extent.
The PlayStation 4, Vita, and Xbox One will all see Valkyria Revolution on June 27. Pre-orders and first-run copies of the console versions of the game will come in the form of the Vanargand Edition. The Vanargand Edition comes with a 12-song music CD, featuring music from the legendary Yasunori Mitsuda ( Chrono Trigger ), who scored the game. It also comes with a pin depicting the protagonist’s coat of arms.
Unfortunately, Vita owners get a little left out with this deal. The handheld version is a digital-only release, as it the norm these days. No extra bonuses for you. But hey, look at the good stuff PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners get!
