Fallout Shelter Out on Steam

Fallout Shelter Out on Steam

As of right now, the ludicrously popular, free-to-play game from Bethesda, Fallout Shelter , has launched on Steam. Sure, it’s almost two years after its mobile release and a year after its Bethesda launcher-exclusive PC debut, but still. Who doesn’t love making and managing Vaults?

Ever since Fallout Shelter showed up on mobile devices, ahead of the release of Fallout 4 , it has been a huge hit. The game eventually made it over to consoles earlier this year, and has now made the rather obvious and more accessible move to Steam.

On Steam, Fallout Shelter has the usual trappings one would expect from a high-profile game from a big ol’ publisher. You can earn Achievements, back up your saves to the Steam Cloud, and choose from various Controller options. There are no trading cards, unfortnately! Fallout Shelter does include the dreaded free to play microtransactions, so “buyers” beware. That said, it was also very well-received from players and critics alike, even earning the Mobile Game of the Year award at the 2016 DICE awards.
