We’re over twenty years past the release of the original WipEout and now we’re getting a collection of more modern WipEout releases. The WipEout Omega Collection is releasing on PlayStation 4 June 6. The pricepoint is $39.99, and here’s what that gets you.
The WipEout Collection will feature all the tracks and ships from WipEout HD , Fury , and 2048 . All of the graphics are remastered and display in 1080P on PS4/4K on PS4 Pro. All of the sound effects are equally remastered but you’ll also get 28 licensed music tracks including beats from Swedish House Mafia, Chemical Brothers, and The Prodigy.
There are 9 different modes in the WipEout Collection including tournaments, speed laps, time trials, Zone mode, and career mode. You’ll also be able to create your own experience in the racebox mode. Never was there a tale of more anit-gravity than this of WipEout and its Omega Collection . I’ve always had that issue where a ton of games come out at one time, I know about all of them, and then years later I realized I was confused on the content of the actual games. Wip3out is one of those games for me. When I first knew about it, I thought it was some kind of goofy sandbox game. Now of course I realize that it’s part of a series of anti-gravity racing games that have been around since the 90s.
