PETA Tosses Mad Shade at Nintendo Over 1-2 Switch

PETA Tosses Mad Shade at Nintendo Over 1-2 Switch

As we all (should) know, a farm in Vermont challenged Nintendo to a cow-milking contest and Nintendo accepted . The crux of this challenge is a minigame in 1-2-Switch that is all about two players locking eye contact and milking as much HD Rumble milk as they can from invisible cows. Seems innocent, right? PETA didn’t think so.

PETA got wind of this whole thing and issued an additional challenge to the company, It stated that maybe Nintendo should make their cartoony cow-milking 1-2 Switch game a bit more accurate and perhaps include footage of poor living conditions for farm cows. A blog post from PETA ties it all together, comprising a letter written by the head of the organization and some pretty awful footage of animal cruelty.

This is far from the first time PETA has spoken out against video game depictions of animals, and this surely won’t be the last. (Remember Mario Kills Tanuki ?) The impact of video games on animal problems is debatable at best, but personally, I wouldn’t mind less animals having a rough time so we can all have cheese.

It’s also important to remember the evidence PETA dumps out is often context-free, so take anything awful you see with a grain of salt. Browse at your own risk!
