Marvel Heroes Omega Heading to Consoles

Marvel Heroes Omega Heading to Consoles

Marvel Heroes is heading to a whole new platform. The game, which originally launched in 2013 and has been doing rather well on PCs ever since, is going to head to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Marvel Heroes Omega will be a free-to-play action-RPG and come to both consoles in 2017. A PlayStation 4 closed beta is already planned, with people able to purchase a Founder’s Pack to be guaranteed a spot and Daredevil. PlayStation Plus members also get Daredevil’s Man without Fear costume. An Xbox One closed beta is also planned.

Here’s how it goes. Marvel Heroes Omega has tons of Marvel characters from all sorts of comics, like Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy , and the Defenders. At launch, it will offer 38 playable characters, a Campaign that is nine chapters long, the Danger Room, Legendary Missions, Midtown Patrol, and Operations modes, and the Heroic, Superheroic, and Cosmic Trials. A Founder’s Pack, which will cost real cash, will be the only way to get War Machine and Iron Fist for the first six months.

Now for the bad news. People who are playing Marvel Heroes on the PC won’t be able to connect their account and progress to Marvel Heroes Omega. Despite being basically the same game, they’re separate entities. If you’re already invested in one, it might not be worth getting into the other.
