Gearbox and TotalBiscuit Send G2A List of Demands

Earlier this month, Gearbox announced a startling partnership with controversial online game marketplace G2A regarding an exclusive limited edition of the new Bulletstorm remaster, Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition . G2A is known for selling codes for new games for way less than normal retail value. Its methods for being able to do so are steeped in controversy, to say the least.

Prominent YouTube personality TotalBiscuit immediately took notice of this and announced his refusal to cover any software from Gearbox going forward. Gearbox noticed this and a whole other Internet-sized chunk of backlash, and reacted by contacting TB and working out a solution. Gearbox and TB have issued a list of demands to G2A, suggesting significant alterations to the company’s products and business practices. If not met, Gearbox will pull the exclusive deal.

Considering the game is out today, many see it as a PR move that is too little, too late. G2A drastically changing its operations within the proposed time limit is incredibly unlikely. Many may see this is an attempt by Gearbox to backpedal a move clearly motivate by poor judgement. Will it work, or will nobody talk about this situation after a week?
