Yakuza Kiwami Releases August 29

Yakuza Kiwami Releases August 29

Remember Yakuza from 2005? It released on the PlayStation 2 in Japan and was later re-released on the PlayStation 3 and Wii U. Sega’s newest iteration of the game has been dubbed Yakuza Kiwami and it will release on the PlayStation 4 on August 29. There will be a special Steelbook version of Yakuza Kiwami for pre-order buyers as well as first-run copies of the game.

Yakuza Kiwami is a completely rebuilt version of the original game. It’s being called an “extreme remake” and will have brand new voice acting. While all the recording is new, there’s still something original here, since the actors are the same from the 2005 Yakuza . The graphics in Yakuza Kiwami are all brand new recreations from the original. There are around 30 minutes of additional cutscenes. And new features have been added to the game, including “Majima Everywhere.” That has the character Goro Majima popping up in different places to challenge you to combat.

I know I’m intrigued, how about you?
