There’s some great news for Halo Wars fans who also really like PC versions of games. H alo Wars: Definitive Edition is coming to Steam on April 20! The game is already available on Windows 10 PCs and Xbox Ones with Play Anywhere compatibility. You won’t be able to network play with those friends with this version, but you’ll get Steam achievements!
In all seriousness, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition on Steam is the same updated version of Halo Wars that players have been enjoying on PCs, but with everything Steam provides. You have the Steam Cloud, which allows you to play your game saves from anywhere, Steam leaderboards to try to top, and the aforementioned Steam achievements. Halo Wars: Definitive Edition includes everything you knew and loved from the original Halo Wars including all of the DLC. There are new graphics and new achievements.
This seems like a great time to go back to Halo Wars and relive those past memories. If you want to play with your friends, tell them to get the Steam version too!
