Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Launches in September

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Launches in September

It’s been pretty quiet since Capcom initially announced Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite . That all changed pretty quickly today, as we now have a good idea of what the story is about, when the game comes out and of course, what you get when you pre-order.

In a new story trailer , the pitch is laid out pretty clearly. Sigma and Ultron have teamed up, quite literally so, using the Infinity Stones. Ultron Sigma, a purple-glowing fusion of the two characters seems to have taken over Asgard. It’s up to everyone else to stop them.

In the trailer we see familiar faces such as Captain America, Iron Man, Strider, Chun-Li, and Mega Man X. We also see reintroductions of Thor, Hulk, Chris Redfield and Rocket Raccoon. This is in addition to Ryu and Captain Marvel, characters announced in the earlier teaser trailer.

If you pre-order the game, there are goodies in the form of extra costumes for characters like Ryu and Thor. An $89.99 Deluxe Edition includes the game and a season pass for six “all-new” DLC characters like Sigma, and some “premium costumes. A $199.99 collector’s edition is also coming, which comes with four interlinking character dioramas and LED Infinity Stones. All of this is set to drop on September 19, 2017.
