Resident Evil VII DLC Delayed

Resident Evil VII DLC Delayed

Koshi Nakanishi released a video for Resident Evil VII fans, saying that the upcoming DLC, Not a Hero, is being delayed. The DLC was announced earlier in the year, and is about Chris Redfield, a longtime fan-favorite of the series. It now has no release window.

Resident Evil VII was a surprise success, largely due to the high, AAA quality of its story and gameplay. Nakanishi said the Not a Hero DLC was close to being ready, but after the better than expected reception, ultimately decided it wasn’t of a high enough quality to match the core experience.

It won’t be done by the end of the quarter, as the development team is going back to work on it more and bring it back once Capcom’s higher standards are met. The DLC will still be free when it launches, which is good to know. At the end of the message, Resident Evil VII producer Jun Takeuchi also stated more DLC is in the works after Not a Hero.
