CI Games, the creators of the Sniper Ghost Warrior series, have made a serious blunder. Well, it’s really the most serious offender in a string of bad public relations moves. The developer’s most recent game, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 was delayed twice, and now has launched without a crucial part of the game.
All the way leading up to the release, there was no indication that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 was going to be parted out. And yet when it launched today, it came without multiplayer. CI Games has since said that they wanted to release it without multiplayer so that the game can be thoroughly enjoyed in single-player mode first. However, they didn’t tell anyone about this ahead of time.
It’s an understatement to say this revelation comes as a shock. There were even multiplayer maps announced in the Season Pass of the game. It really feels like a case of the rug being swept out from under us.
CI Games said that they plan to have very regular content updates. Among them will be Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 ‘s multiplayer, which will come later this year as a free download for everyone who owns the game. Even still, it feels bad to be bamboozled. Here’s hoping Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 ‘s multiplayer is worth the wait.
