Well, this sure is a “thing.” Night Trap , the infamous FMV horror game for the Sega CD, is getting re-released in 2017. This is tied to the 25th anniversary of the game, which is known for being both really bad and part of the reason the ESRB exists. Limited Run Games, a company that specializes in limited run physical releases of games that wouldn’t get them otherwise, is handling the Night Trap physical copies. There will actually be three different versions of the box, based on three different variants of the original Sega CD art.
Night Trap is being re-released by Screaming Villains, a developer from Kentucky with a small website and Twitter account dedicated solely to this project so far. On said Twitter account, they’ve told curious parties that there’s “a LOT of cool new stuff in it.” People interested in this kind of bizarre, historical content might have plenty to like about this PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game.
