Whoops! Here we go again. 2017 is truly year of the retailer leaks. Not only did Amazon leak the existence of Darksiders III , but it also dropped a bunch of material. This includes screenshots and the official product description. So, ahead of the official announcement from THQ Nordic, we now know what to expect from the next chapter in this fairly popular franchise when it comes to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It seems pretty cool!
Fury is the new protagonist, based on Darksiders ’ alternative take on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Fury is notably a woman, and also notably a magic-based character who fights with a whip. Castlevania , anyone?
Fury has the ability to change forms, which is part of the Darksiders trademark, The Legend of Zelda -like style. Darksiders III is being advertised as an open world game. The antagonists will be the Seven Deadly Sins.
Considering the troubled history of Darksiders during its tenure at the original THQ, Darksiders III is looking pretty ambitious. I’m certainly interested, especially because of the powers Fury seems to have. For now, check out the Amazon listing for a nice collection of screenshots and hope that the 2018 release window is a place holder. It’d be great to see this sooner!
