For years now, World of Warcraft fans have been holding a charity race in-game for breast cancer. It’s in its eighth year, and this time its getting official. Blizzard is going to honor Running of the Gnomes with The Great Gnomeregan.
Currently in testing on World of Warcraft’ s Public Test Realm, The Great Gnomeregan will make the Running of the Gnomes shinier and flashier. The goal is for people to make level 1 Gnomes and have them race. Everyone begins at Dun Morogh and heads to Booty Bay. People make pledges, money goes to a good cause, and people have a lot of fun.
Blizzard is adding decorations, ranging from a starting line, finish line, and gates along the path. There are even NPCs scattered along the course to cheer the runners on.
The exact dates for World of Warcraft’ s The Great Gnomeregan event have yet to be announced. It will take place in October. But you should definitely hop onto the PTR if you want a sneak peek!
