Quake Champions Enters Open Beta This Week

Quake Champions Enters Open Beta This Week

Not long from now, in fact later this week, Quake Champions is going to open its doors. A “large scale tech test” is set to launch on May 12, and will last until May 21. While it is technically an open beta, it is more limited than true open beta. The servers will be live 24/7 during this time.

The Quake Champions tech test will also include a brand new mode not previously available in the closed beta. Sacrifice is a 4v4 mode.  We don’t know much yet, however id Software claims Sacrifice is an attempt to find a unique niche in the pro-level competitive esports scenes.

Bethesda also announced that when the test launches on May 12, the closed beta NDA will also be lifted. Players will be allowed to stream, capture, and openly share their experiences with Quake Champions . Anyone who signed up for the closed beta will receive an invite regardless of if they made it in originally or not. In the meantime, the option to sign up for an invite is still available on the official Quake Champions website.
