Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Coming to the Switch This Fall

Bandai Namco has released a bunch of information regarding the Nintendo Switch version of its anime fighting and action game, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 . In North America and Europe, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be launching this fall. The game has been available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for a while now, so the Nintendo Switch version is an entirely new port.

The Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will have ad-hoc play, motion controls, and also support two-player competitive play on one system. Local multiplayer will of course require people to use the Joy-Cons.

Bandai Namco also announced the “DB Super Pack 4,” a DLC pack which adds Fused Zamasu and Super Saiyan Blue Vegito as new playable characters. The DB Super Pack 4 will be launching in June for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The announcement didn’t say anything about DLC for the Nintendo Switch version.

While different versions of the original Dragon Ball Xenoverse struggled at times, the main rollout of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 maintain a steady frame rate at 60 FPS. If the Switch version can maintain that (perhaps at the cost of resolution), this could be a surprise hit with Dragon Ball fans.
