The Amazing Race Features Street Fighter V Segment

The Amazing Race Features Street Fighter V Segment

The Amazing Race is a CBS reality show that follows groups of two traveling around the world and competing in challenges. Next week, a segment taking place in South Korea sees the competitors taking on professional Street Fighter V players in one-on-one combat.

Incredibly notable Street Fighter players, including Infiltration and Poongko will make appearances on the show. These are people who have competed at the highest level on the grandest stages, so how in the world are random, reality show contestants supposed to compete? Well, there are stipulations.

The challengers only have to win a single round of Street Fighter V in order to move on to the next part of the show. They will receive some coaching and instructions in the game ahead of time, and there’s something else, too. Every ten rounds, the professional players will have an additional handicap, from playing with one hand to playing blindfolded. The idea is to allow the contestants to move on eventually, but if anyone does make it by faster, hey, they’re ahead in the race!

The Amazing Race will air tomorrow, May 25 at 10 p.m. on CBS. The episode is called “As Easy as Stacking Cups.” You can watch a preview of the segment below at our source, which looks pretty hilarious, especially if you’re a Street Fighter fan.
