Sega Forever Might Bring Retro Games to Mobile Devices

Sega Forever Might Bring Retro Games to Mobile Devices

Social media accounts exist under the name Sega Forever, and even more recently a person from the Philippines spotted some further proof of concept for a game or hub of that name. The game Comix Zone included mention of Sega Forever in the iOS menu for the game. There’s also apparently a sign-up for a Sega Forever newsletter floating around. If the company is letting people sign up for news updates, it’s pretty strong proof that a program might exist eventually (if not soon).

Now I’m sure you’re chomping at the bit wondering what is Sega Forever? Well, there’s plenty more speculation on this one. Supposedly, it might be a streaming service akin to the Xbox Game Pass, but for retro Sega games. Now where would these be available? The recent screen leak from an iOS device seems to indicate Sega Forever might only be a mobile device service. There’s still hope from fans though that it might come to consoles sometime in the future as well.

For now, it looks like Sega Forever might be a Sega retro game subscription service on mobile devices. Keep an eye out for the name as time goes on as we’re sure to see more.
