Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake Delayed Again

Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake Delayed Again

I have some terrible news my friends. Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III have been delayed yet again. According to a Square Enix financial briefing, these games will release somewhere within the next three years. They could come out in 2018, 2019, or 2020. Why limit ourselves right?

Let’s look back on what we already know. Final Fantasy VII is getting a remake, and it’s going to be episodic. This is already a bit wonky for a company that previously has not dabbled in the episodic style of video game storytelling. It also got announced quite some time ago, E3 2015 to be exact.

Another Square Enix game that’s been talked about for a long time is Kingdom Hearts III . This obviously has been a possibility since Kingdom Hearts II released in 2005. However, it wasn’t fully confirmed until Kingdom Hearts III was revealed at E3 2013. Delays for this game have haunted it’s name since it was very first revealed.

It always sucks to be the bearer of bad news, but someone’s gotta do it. Watch for more updates on Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III ‘s production, but expect it to be a while from now.
