While everyone is hyped up over Sonic Forces , there’s also still the equally exciting Sonic Mania to remember! The modern update of the classic Sonic side-scrolling gameplay was always set to release sometime this summer in 2017. We knew it would be coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, we didn’t know exactly when. And that’s unfortunate because it takes some really classic levels from Sonic and makes them even better. But, a release date may have snuck out!
There’s finally some potential good news for those who have been waiting patiently for Sonic Mania though. The European Steam pages for the game got a curious addition. The featured trailer for the game shows a release date of August 15 2017. The trailer on US Steam pages still just lists a release date of summer 2017.
Sega hasn’t made any official comment about this yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see!
