PokeLand Is the Next Pokemon Mobile Game

PokeLand Is the Next Pokemon Mobile Game

Pokemon is on a roll lately with their mobile games. Pokemon Go took off like a rocket, Magikarp Jump is becoming surprisingly popular, and now another mobile game is in alpha testing. This new one, PokeLand, is only available to a pool of 10,000 testers in Japan currently, but it would appear that more people could be added in the future. The test is only taking place on Android devices and will continue until June 9.

In the alpha test for PokeLand , users will be able to explore six islands, 52 stages, and a 15 floor champion tower. 134 different kinds of Pokemon will be available. The point of the game seems to be to explore the different islands in the game while collecting Pokemon as you go along. To collect them, you’ll have to defeat them in battle.

The style of PokeLand is different than any other mobile Pokemon game out at the moment, as the pocket monsters are styled to look like small Amiibo-like toys. PokeLand is being compared to a mobile version of Pokemon Rumble . It’s most similar to Pokemon Rumble World, which was a free-to-play game on the Nintendo 3DS.

There’s no indication of when (or if) PokeLand will release in the U.S. But considering Pokemon Go and Magikarp Jump have come stateside, this one most likely will too. While the alpha test is only available on Android, hopefully PokeLand will come to iOS systems as well.
