New Splatoon 2 Contraptions Revealed

New Splatoon 2 Contraptions Revealed

Slowly but surely, more and more information about Splatoon 2 ‘s single player mode are being released. We’ve already gotten a first look at it, but now we’ve got a couple more little snippets of news to share.

A familiar name from the original Splatoon will be appearing in Splatoon 2 ‘s Hero mode, Sheldon. He’s bringing a bunch of new weapons from his Ammo Knights shop for characters to try out in Hero mode.

There have also been some new toys laid out in the fields for players to mess around with. There’s a ride rail which is quite literally just that, a rail that you can ride on. It’s a quick way to transport around the stages. Inkfurler is another one that we now know about. It’s a big ol’ rolled up bridge that you can extend with some ink splattered on it. Not only can you use it to move throughout stages, but it can also knock out enemies if you time the roll-out correctly. The Inkfurlers only stay unfurled for a set period of time though, so don’t stand on them too long!

The last new contraption coming to Splatoon 2 is the Rolonium. It looks like a bunch of ink canisters held together by metal bands and it creates a powerful attack if you smack it off of its spawning platform. There are some enemies that attack using Rolonium too, but you can send it back to them with a well timed smack.

There’s sure to be tons more Splatoon 2 news as we get closer and closer to E3, so look forward to it!
