Capcom Announces Mega Man Legacy Collection 2

Capcom Announces Mega Man Legacy Collection 2

Capcom is going forward with its newfound affection for high-quality compilations with Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 , a release that finishes off the core Mega Man series (albeit one curious omission) as it stands today. Included in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is Mega Man 7 (SNES), Mega Man 8 (PS1/Saturn), Mega Man 9 (PS3, Wii, Xbox 360), and Mega Man 10 (PS3, Wii, Xbox 360). Missing from this set, perhaps arguably, is Mega Man and Bass , which never saw a US release as a SNES title, but later appeared on the Game Boy Advance.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 appears to have the same feature set of the first one, including an extensive museum full of concept art and other assets, along with a challenge mode comprising level remixes and other hardcore-friendly trimmings. Capcom has also added an “Extra Armor” option, which along with save states should make these often difficult games more manageable for more casual play.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release for PS4, PC and Xbox One on August 8, 2017 and have a physical and digital release at $19.99. No word on a Switch or 3DS release at this time.
