Bungie Confirms No More Updates for Destiny

In Bungie’s latest “This Week At Bungie”weekly update, the team takes a moment away from Destiny 2 to address what appears to be the final word on the original Destiny . Bungie reiterated that Age of Triumph was intended as the final update to Destiny . That said, many fans have been unhappy with certain balance adjustments and have been asking for more.

Bungie said that, “We’ve heard many of you asking if the current sandbox will get another design pass. Our sole focus at this time is Destiny 2 .” Bungie then says it will need the community’s help with bug reporting during the Destiny 2 beta coming this Summer, and that when it launches in the fall, a new “cycle” of updates will begin. Destiny 2 is the true answer to all the player feedback since the original Destiny launch.

Frankly, wanting updates when the sequel is right around the corner seems like a bunch of pipe dreams, especially in the video game world. Bungie’s entire focus is going to be on promoting and pushing the new game, the new source of income, and resourcing requirements.
