Ninja Theory, the developers behind Heavenly Sword and DmC: Devil May Cry, have been hard at work creating a new project that they think gamers will love. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is being called an “independent AAA” game, and it just got a release date. You will be able to grab it for your PlayStation 4 or PC on August 8. The price point for the game is $29.99. As a reminder, Ninja Theory stated that the game is half the size of traditional triple AAA games, hence the lower price.
Enough of that though, on to the juicy bits! Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is about a Celtic girl named (you guessed it) Senua who is slowly descending into madness. She's journeyed to viking hell in an attempt to return the soul of her dead lover to the living. Ninja Theory collaborated with neuroscientists and people who struggle with psychosis to deliver a very realistic picture of insanity.
Even still, it looks like a killer game, so I'll definitely be picking it up. How about you?
