Mysterious Ataribox Surfaces

In today’s uber mysterious news, we’ve got Atari. A while back they released a teaser trailer that has gotten our imaginations ticking. It seemed to be indicative of some sort of console with sleek black and wood design. The Atari logo burns bright in our memories like it does in this teaser trailer. All we are told in the trailer is to visit ataribox.com if we’d like to be kept in the know.

Apparently the Ataribox has been years in the making, and it will utilize PC technology according to Atari CEO Fred Chesnais. While the company hasn’t released a console since 1993, it would appear that’s going to change very soon. Atari hasn’t given any explicit details thus far about the Ataribox, so we have no way of knowing if it’s just a codename for a re-release console like the NES Classic Edition. It could be an entirely new console from the still-popular company.

Either way, Chesnais said that Atari plans to reveal more information soon. So as the trailer for the Ataribox dictates, we should go to ataribox.com and subscribe to know more. If not that, then follow Atari on their social medias as they’re sure to also make their announcements there.
