Twitch Shares the Blizzard Love

Twitch Shares the Blizzard Love

Blizzard has all kinds of exciting news to share via Twitch today. The least of which includes free stuff! In the time of the Steam Summer Sale, when we’re all short on cash, the word “free” is like an oasis in the desert.

If you have a Twitch Prime membership (or Amazon Prime since it includes Twitch Prime) and own Overwatch , you’re entitled to a free Golden Loot Box right now. You have the opportunity to claim this box (which has a guaranteed legendary item and three more things) from now until August 10, 2017. So there’s plenty of time to wait for that next paycheck to get one of the above memberships if you need it. It’s really worth it to do so if you’re an Overwatch fan, since the Golden Loot Box isn’t the only goodie. In August, you’ll also get five standard loot boxes, and October will bring five more! Supposedly there will be Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm giveaways as well.

In other exciting Twitch and Blizzard news, the streaming service has struck a deal for 2018. All of Blizzard’s tournaments will be exclusively streamed through Twitch. These include the Hearthstone Championship Tour, Hearthstone Global Games, Heroes of the Storm Global Championship, StarCraft II World Championship Series, World of Warcraft Arena Championship, Overwatch APEX League, and Overwatch Premier Series.

If you were going to watch these, it most likely would have been through Twitch already anyway, so this change shouldn’t affect too many.
