Nintendo has always been super popular merchandise-wise. Nintendo collectibles are sort of on the same level as Coca-Cola stuff. If it is created, there is definitely someone, and most likely a lot of someones, who will buy it. This is the type of thinking that led to Nintendo’s most recent team up with a company called LeSportsac. Their entire gig is the creation of bags and cases.
So obviously these bags and cases are going to be Nintendo themed. Many are focused on the company’s best selling character, Mario. Even those that aren’t, like the Game Boy shaped pouch, are still tied back in to Mario. The way the bag creator did that is by having the zipper pull on all their bags and pouches be shaped like a Super Mario coin. It’s pretty snazzy looking.
All of the LeSportsac X Nintendo items will be releasing in Japan on July 19. The rest of the world, will have to wait until fall to get their hands on them.
