Rumors of L.A. Noire Remaster Ramping Up

Rumors of L.A. Noire Remaster Ramping Up

L.A. Noire ’s apparent remaster has been a long-standing rumor, cropping up in discussions every now and then over the years. Early 2017 saw further, more concrete details from reputable Rockstar insiders, but now investigative rumor-hound Liam Robertson is suggesting the L.A. Noire remaster is now simply a matter of time.

Initially, around January 2017, Internet tipsters with solid reputations for Rockstar leaks were talking about a L.A. Noire remaster for the Nintendo Switch. Not long after that, they were adding PS4 and Xbox One to the mix. They also suggested a release for late summer, which is quickly looking like a healthy time for game releases. E3 2017 happened without a peep from Rockstar on any of its projects, but that’s not exactly a surprise – the company has a history of ignoring major events. It doesn’t really need to, if sales numbers for Grand Theft Auto V are any indication.

In a report for comicbook.com’s WWG by Robertson, not only are the murmurs about L.A. Noire growing in number, but now the scuttlebutt is suggesting a VR component as well for the PlayStation version. A first-person mode, something that also showed up in the secondary version of Grand Theft Auto V , is allegedly on tap for every other version.

There’s no further information on what the rumored release date is, but Robertson suggests it could be pushed back to 2018 as the summer becomes more and more crowded.
