Super NES Classic Edition Releasing in September

Super NES Classic Edition Releasing in September

Nintendo has been having a fantastic year. Most consider them the winners of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Their stock price has been rising incredibly in the past few weeks. At the pinnacle of their current success, Nintendo is doing something awesome for their fans. The re-release of a plug-and-play version of one of their most popular systems couldn’t have come at a better time.

This September 29, Nintendo’s Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition will release. The system is smaller than its predecessor, but will include an HDMI cable, one USB charging cable, an AC adapter, and two (yes two!) wired Super NES Classic Controllers. There are 21 games that will come pre-loaded onto the Super NES Classic including four multiplayer games, so the two controllers are an awesome addition.

The games that will be included in the Super NES Classic Edition are one of the consoles biggest selling points, since it includes a game that hasn’t been released anywhere yet. Star Fox is included, and if you beat the first level it’ll unlock Star Fox 2 . This game was developed, but never released. So fans of the original Super NES will have something entirely new to play!

The other games included on the Super NES Classic are: Contra III: The Alien Wars , Donkey Kong Country , EarthBound , Final Fantasy III , F-ZERO , Kirby Super Star , Kirby’s Dream Course , The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past , Mega Man X , Secret of Mana , Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting , Super Castlevania IV , Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts , Super Mario Kart , Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars , Super Mario World , Super Metroid , Super Punch-Out , and Yoshi’s Island . Whew, that’s a ton of titles for $79.99. Time for a new generation to enjoy the ultimate in (now) retro consoles!
