The latest Final Fantasy XV DLC release is out today in Episode Prompto . While players are getting ready to jump into that, folks have already discovered that after finishing the content, a teaser trailer plays at the end. This teaser is for the next chapter in these stories, obviously this time centered around Ignis, the butler-type character of the group who fights best with magic and daggers.
The trailer is dark, filled with empire soldiers scouring over the remains of the battlefield. Ignis is on the ground being apprehended, and we eventually see antagonist Ardyn looking over him. The trailer ends with a release window of December 2017, and the sound of Ignis’ glasses breaking. Anyone who’s played through Final Fantasy XV at this point knows what probably happens next.
Episode Prompto releases today, June 27, and stars the gun-wielding member of the team and ostensibly sees him brandishing different kinds of weapons beyond his signature handguns. A huge update hit Final Fantasy XV before the launch of Episode Prompto , adding new features such as the off-road capable Regalia Type-D.
